About Diann Crandall
My name is Diann Crandall and I am a certified and licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. To the young ones...I’m known as the “Speech teacher” or better yet, “Ms. Diann.”
I grew up in the Monterey Bay Area and received my undergraduate degree in Communicative Disorders in 1999 and graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2002 from San Jose State University. For the last 16 years, I have been working in the private practice sector and servicing the school-based population, ranging from the pediatric through adolescent age-range.
I’m a mother of two adult daughters and a toddler son! I raise my family to respect others in all ways, love nature, enjoy the rhythms of music and movement through dance. I was born in Seoul, Korea, and was raised by my Korean mother in Salinas, California. I speak conversational Korean and learned Spanish as an adult. I’ve travelled through Mexico and love learning through cultural experiences. Throughout my adult life, I have lived in the South Bay, East bay, and San Francisco area. I am proud to say that I am familiar with the Bay Area and love living here.
The synergistic energy of compassion, kindness, patience, and genuine engagement while working towards the improvement of effective communication is my ultimate goal. I hope that I am able to make a difference in your or your child’s life.
